An Elizabethan bronze mortar
Probably Norwich, c.1590
The body cast three times with a heraldic lion passant guardant, a loop handle to the side
5 3/8in. (13.7cm.) diameter; 4½in. (11.4cm.) high;
and a bronze pestle, probably 18th century -- 7¾in. (19.7cm.) long (2)
