Autograph letter signed (as Regent of Holland, 'G[uillaume] Prince d'Orange') to [the Duke of Lorraine], n.p., n.d., in French, one page, 4to, endorsements on verso, ownership stamp; and a document signed (as King of England, 'William R'), a warrant to Ralph, Earl of Montague, Whitehall, May 1690, one page, folio, papered seal (2nd leaf soiled, splits in centre fold and at edges).

A recommendation for M[onsiue]r de Netelhorst, a deputy from the assembly of the United Provinces and William's ambassador, and a document ordering Montague, the 'M[aste]r of our great Wardrobe', to provide items for use in the King's chapel during his Irish campaign, including 'two Bibles in quarto, three large and two dozen of Less Common Prayer Book', as well as surplices 'of fine holland', Turkey wool carpets, crimson damask cushions, footstools and candlesticks.

William III sailed for Ireland on 4 June 1690 to lead the campaign which culminated in the Battle of the Boyne. (2)
