one in the manner of Daniel Chodowiecki, Berlin, 1763, the other Berlin, circa 1750
Large cartouche-shaped white enamel box, the lid, sides, base and inside of lid painted with allegories on the Peace of Hubertusburg on 15 February 1763, the gilt-metal mount chased with c-scrolls and flowers; and a rectangular double-lidded blue enamel box, the white cartouches painted with flowersprays surrounded by raised white scrolls simulating lace, the inside of both raised lids painted with the portraits of King Frederick the Great and his wife Elisabeth Christine of Brunswick-Bevern, reeded gilt-metal mounts with raised wavy thumbpieces
