Cartouche-shaped upright white enamelled copper box with hinged lids on cover and base, and waisted body, the covers and front and rear side walls painted with scenes from the Old Testament, notably of Moses, Abraham and Samson, including the Gathering of Manna (lid), the Sacrifice of Isaac (front side), the Brazen Serpent (base) and Samson slaying the Lion (inside of base) bright-cut gilt-metal mounts with Rocaille thumbpieces
