Geneva, circa 1780, with prestige marks, the flange struck with inventory no. 835
Oval box, the guilloché panels on cover, sides and base coated with translucent plum-colour enamel and bordered with opaque white enamel bands, the diamond-bordered lid centred with an identically enamelled guilloché plaque applied with rose-cut diamond-studded initials 'SF', within an old-mine cut diamond and strass border, the matted gold borders and side pilasters applied with opalescent enamel beads and translucent green enamelled leaves; with fitted green shagreen case
