A GEORGIAN OFFICER'S SWORD
Late 18th Century
With curved fullered blade (possibly shortened) incorporating a narrow secondary fuller on each face, blued for approximately one-third of its length and bearing etched and gilt devices including trophies, pre-1801 royal arms and G III R cypher (some pitting and discolouration), gilt-brass hilt with knucklebow guard incorporating a side-bar, leather-covered grip bound with a gilt helical ribbon, and lion-head pommel (hilt possibly refixed, gilding worn)
