Sheath's Patent No. 23, circa 1853
With blued octagonal sighted barrel with a band of engraving at the muzzle, case-hardened cylinder with an engraved double line at the front, blued scroll engraved open frame, blued scroll engraved trigger-guard, scroll engraved pommel with hinged butt-trap cover, white hammer and safety-stop, chequered walnut butt (repaired), and much original finish, London proof marks
