With slightly swamped barrels in three stages separated by mouldings, the signed breech sections chiselled in relief with a spray of acanthus foliage, engraved tangs, signed border engraved rounded locks (upper part of one cock replaced), figured full stocks each with a raised panel at the barrel tang and a moulding at the rear ramrod-pipe, engraved and chiselled iron mounts, finely pierced serpentine side-plates, spurred pommels, foliate escutcheons, baluster ramrod-pipes, and later wooden ramrods (some wear and scattered surface pitting, one pistol with later stock, butt-cap, and escutcheon, the other with replaced fore-end tip, ramrods not a pair), London proof marks
