A CASED PAIR OF 19-BORE FLINTLOCK PISTOLS
Circa 1815
With rebrowned twist sighted barrels inscribed 'W. Parker. 233 High Holborn, London.' on the top flat, case-hardened patent breeches each with gold line and platinum-lined touch-hole, engraved case-hardened tangs each incorporating the back-sight, case-hardened bevelled locks each inscribed 'Parker' and fitted with semi-rainproof pan, roller, and engraved safety-catch, figured walnut half-stocks, engraved blued iron mounts, chequered butts, silver escutcheons, horn fore-end caps, original brass-mounted ramrods, and some original finish: in lined and fitted mahogany case with some accessories, the lid with facsimile trade label and flush-fitting carrying handle, Birmingham proof marks
