A PAIR OF ROMAN GOLD, EMERALD AND PEARL EARRINGS
Circa 3rd Century A.D.
Each with a six-pointed rosette with small openwork loops between the petals, centered by an emerald bead threaded on to a central wire, a crossbar below of stylized serpent heads, with three suspension loops on the reverse, each with a length of twisted wire, two threaded with two pearls, the central one threaded with an emerald bead, the reverse with an S-shaped earwire
