A BYZANTINE GOLD FINGER RING
Circa Late 6th-Early 7th Century A.D.
The plain hoop round in section, with six grooved spirals throughout, joined to the underside of the flat rectangular bezel, with three granules at the join, the bezel engraved with a three line inscription in Greek letters, now worn and predominantly illegible
