A MEROVINGIAN GOLD AND GARNET FINGER RING
Circa 7th Century A.D.
The hoop round in section, with spiral wire along each shoulder surmounted by three granules, joined to the underside of the bezel with two volutes, the round two-stepped bezel grooved along the outer edge and set with a circular garnet which is inlaid with a thin ring of gold
