A MEROVINGIAN GOLD, GARNET AND GLASS FINGER RING
Circa 6th Century A.D.
The plain sheet hoop rounded on the exterior, concave on the interior, joined to the underside of the cruciform box bezel, with a pyramid cluster of granulation on each side, the side arms of the cross set with green glass, the vertical transepts set with garnet, a garnet cabochon in the center
7/8 in. (2.2 cm.) wide; ring size 8½
