Totoki Baigai (1749-1804), a hanging scroll
ink and slight colour on paper depicting two scholars in a mountain landscape -- 9in. x 6½in. (23cms x 16.5cms), signed Seimuken Baigai and sealed; a hanging scroll of deer in a mountanous landscape, ink and slight colour on paper -- 7in. x 11¼in. (17.8cms x 28.5cms), signed Totsugen and sealed Chio; a hanging scroll of two rats and chestnuts, ink on silk -- 11in. x 13in. (28cms x 33cms), signed Bun'ichi..and sealed; a Kano-School hanging scroll of egrets and lotus plants, ink on paper -- 17½in. x 23in. (44.5cms x 58.5cms), 17th century; and a further Kano-School hanging scroll of an egret and lotus plant, ink on paper -- 38½in. x 15½in. (98cms x 39cms), signed Naonobu hitsu, sealed Kano and Shume, three with wood boxes. (5)
