A Berlin cup, cover and trembleuse saucer
Circa 1775, blue sceptre marks, Dreher's ,,, and puce zz. to cup, puce i. and Pressnummer 10 to saucer
The cup of slightly bombé form with double interwined loop handle with gilt foliage terminals, with a gilt initial C on a stippled circular grey medallion resting on clouds, surmounted by a ribbon-tied garland and supported by a winged putto, the domed cover with flower-sprays about a flower finial with foliage terminal, the saucer similarly decorated about a slightly raised pierced gallery, the gilt diaper borders divided by shaped panels of puce scale ornament, gilt line rims
