The arched case with handles to the sides above fishscale sound frets, on foliate cast feet, the brass dial with gilt-brass foliate scroll cast spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring signed JOHN BENNETT/LONDON, matted centre and blued steel hands, chime/silent to the arch, the eight day triple chain fusee movemet with anchor escapement, quarter chiming on eight bells and with hour strike on further bell to back plate with pendulum holdfast -- 20in. (51cm.) high
