The pagoda hood with replaced cast brass urn finials and central fretwok panel, outset brass stop-fluted columns, glazed side panels, with moulded frame to breakarch trunk door, on stepped panelled plinth with wavy apron, the 12in. wide brass dial with foliate spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring signed Ellicott London, matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture, the arch with silvered strike/silent ring, the eight day five pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on bell -- 106½in. (270cm.) high
