The present model of a cow is neither Staffordshire in origin nor 18th century in date, as described in the printed catalogue. It would appear be part of a group of reproductions that have surfaced on the market in recent years. The most well known are those published in the Weldon Collection. The paper label for D. M. & P. Manheim is a leter addition.
