Two named and dated pearlware silver resist jugs and a dated blue ground jug
BOTH SILVER RESIST JUGS 1813, THE THIRD 1845
The first pearlware jug of baluster form with a central panel inscribed with the name WILLIAM/WILLIAMS and dated 1813, reserved on a reeded ground below a border of moulded trailing roses on a silvered ground (chipping to spout and handle); the second of globular form named and dated And,w Bickely Ellesmere 1813, decorated elsewhere in silver resist with pheasants among a fenced wooded landscape, below a trailing vine border (cracked), the blue-ground jug gilt with the intials D H in script above the date 1845, moulded with horses and a hound in landscape to one side and with a pack of hounds to the reverse, reserved against a blue ground, the spout moulded with a satyr's face, within gilt rims (star crack to base and faint hairline cracks to side) (3)
