FIRST EDITION published without a dust-jacket. INSCRIBED COPY. BAL identifies three printings without alteration of the title page. This is the first, 2028 copies of which were printed March 21, 1900 (second printing, July 13; third printing, September 25). The Son of the Wolf was London's first work, a collection of short stories set in the Far North.
