Two Small Porcelain Dishes
Okawachi, Nabeshima Ware, Edo period (18th century)
Each set on a high circular foot and designed on the interior with camelias and waves, the waves, leaves and outlines of the flowers rendered in underglaze-cobalt with some of the flowers painted in overglaze iron-red, the background and the center of the flowers applied with a celadon glaze, the underside undecorated and the foot painted with a 'comb-tooth' pattern in underglaze-blue
