The blade shinogi-zukuri configuration with iori-mune back, torii-zori curvature and chu-gissaki point; itame forging pattern and suguha tempered edge with a small rounded tip; unshortened tang with one peg hole
Koshirae comprising a brown-lacquer scabbard with raised black bands and mounted with a metal kojiri patinated greenish-brown and black with rocks and peonies carved in sunken-relief and highlighted with gold foil and fitted with a matching kozuka; tsuka mounted with fuchi-gashira decorated to match the scabbard hardware and with a pair of shakudo and gilt menuki of birds on branches, the tsuba iron applied with shakudo and shibuichi insects and a frog with gilt-inlaid vines, the rim shakudo
