Edo period, (17th century), inscribed Inoue Shinkai and dated Enpo rokunen nigatsu no hi (1678.2)
The wide blade shinogi-zukuri configuration with iori-mune back, chu-gissaki point and torii-zori curvature; forging pattern itame-mokume with a suguha tempered edge and hakikake tip; tang unshortened with one mekugi-ana; in wood storage scabbard
