Enamelled in a central roundel encircled by a gilt band depicting an elegant lady seated on a stone plinth with a child on her knee in conversation with a classical figure holding a long staff, his left hand stroking the head of the child, all in the shade of a tree in a town setting with tall buildings, a gilt scrolling foliage band in the well and a band of gilt lacework at the rim
