Each piece enamelled and gilt with the coat-of-arms for Trafford impaling Mosley, the crest bearing the motto NOW THUS, and an inscription below the coat GRIPE, GRIFFIN, HOLD FAST, below gilt spearheads at the rims, comprising:
A teapot and cover, 7½ in. (19 cm.) wide
A milk jug, 4¼ in. (11 cm.) high
Four teabowls and saucers, the saucers, 4¾ in. (12 cm.) diam. (6)
