A VERY RARE AGATE CUP AND CUPSTAND
YONGZHENG INCISED FOUR-CHARACTER SEALMARKS AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)

Thinly carved with a fine polish, the winecup formed from translucent agate striated with shades of pale honey and cream tones, with darker russet inclusions, the footring fitting onto the cupstand with an octagonal outer rim, the stone of a light brown colour with faint 'cracked-ice' markings (cup gold lacquer repaired)
The cup 2 1/2 in. (6.3 cm.) diam.
