A Napoleon III ormolu and bleu turquin marble three-piece garniture
In the Louis XVI style, Third quarter 19th Century
Comprising a clock and pair of six-light candelabra, the clock surmounted by a group of two Bacchantes after Clodion, stamped on the base 1058, the breakfront-shaped plinth clock case with berried laurel and beaded moulding, centred by a circular dial with Roman chapters and twin-train movement, on a conforming base stamped to the reverse 521, the candelabra modelled en suite, with urn-form bodies decorated with garlands and relief plaquettes, flanked by female herms, stamped to the reverse 427 above a monogram
