With nickel-finished lever movement, 17 jewels, the gilt matt dial with applied luminous baton numerals, outer black Arabic five minute divisions, luminous hands, the orange chronograph hand with attached "Vernier" scale calibrated for reading elapsed times to 1/10ths of a second, three subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours registers, in tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case with enlarged brushed bezel, screw back, two round chronograph buttons in the band, case, dial and movement signed

Accompanied by Longines Service Booklet and Certificate of Origin dated 7 June 1977. Furthermore delivered with the original fitted burgundy leather-covered presentation box.

The present watch is fitted with a so-called "Vernier" scale, an auxiliary device designed to facilitate fine adjustments or measurements on precision instruments, named after its inventor, the French mathematician Pierre Vernier (1580-1637).
