Paris, 1745/1746, with the charge and discharge marks of Antoine Leschaudel 1744-1750, maker's marks partly rubbed but probably initials 'PD' with fish-shaped 'différent'
Rectangular box with slightly domed cover and concave waisted sides, all over boldly chased with flowers and leaves on an irregular pattern of diagonal wavy reeded scrolling flutes, the slightly raised incorporated thumbpiece chased with fluted and reeded scrolls
