The central boss painted with a singer playing a lute, the basin painted a quartieri with radiating fluted panels of acanthus alternately reserved on a blue or ochre ground, the border alternate with an ochre rosette on a blue ground above the ochre panels and a spiral reserved on a green ground above the blue panels, the underside shell-moulded and painted with radiating blue, white, and ochre on yellow stripes
