LATE 19TH CENTURY, BLUE SHIELD MARK
Painted with a brown-haired lady wearing a plummed hat and red dress with puff sleeves, holding a posy of wild roses, reserved on a mottled brown ground, within a tooled raised gilt, two-tone border of flowers enclosed by scrolling leaves and poppies, reserved against a dark-blue ground (very light rubbing to the gilt rim)
