A DETAILED SEMI-PLANKED SCALE MODEL OF THE FRENCH SLAVER BRIG L'AURORE (1784)
modelled by B. Petitcollot with bound first and second stage masts, standing rigging, bowsprit, heads, catheads, anchors with bound stocks, main and belaying rails, belfry with bell, bitts, well deck with spare masts over, gratings, eight guns in stepped carriages, solid counter to poop trimmed with iron spikes, stove pipe, bench, companionway and helm and other detail. The hull planked and pinned above the main wale with ribs exposed, gun and sweep ports, chain plates and deadeyes and carved stern and quarter lights is finished in natural wood and varnish. Overall measurements -- 31½ x 53in. (80 x 135cm.). Stand.
