A WELL PRESENTED 25':1" SCALE WATERLINE MODEL OF THE FURNESS RED CROSS LINE PASSENGER-CARGO VESSEL S.S. FORT AMHERST (1936)
modelled by R.A. Wilson with masts, derricks, rigging, radio aerial, anchor winch, deck rails, bitts, ventilators, covered hatches, companionways, derrick winches, raised superstructure with bridge, water tanks, funnel with safety valve extension pipe, engine romm lights, four open lifeboats in davits and other details. The hull with simulated plating and portholes is finished in black and red and set moored at anchor in a green seascape within a glazed wooden case with legend. Overall measurements -- 6¾ x 20¼in. (17 x 51.5cm.) Carry case, historic notes.
