A FINE BUILDER'S-STYLE 1:75 SCALE MODEL OF THE CHARGEURS RÉUNIS LINE PASSENGER/CARGO SHIP S.S. KERSAINT (1921)
modelled by C. Hooper with masts, derricks and rigging, fairleads, bollards, anchors with studded cable and winches, cable drums, companionways, covered holds, deck houses with derrick winches over, superstructure with bridge and wing bridges with awning stanchions, stayed funnel in company livery with ladders, safety valve extension pipes and hooter, engine room lights, water tanks, twelve carved lifeboats with bottom boards, thwarts and oars, saloon lights, mooring helm and much other fine detailing. The carved bread-and-butter hull with planked deck, inset brass work, four-blade brass propeller and rudder, is finished in red, black and lacquer and mounted on four turned columns on display base with legend within wood-bound glazed case. Measurements overall -- 30 x 84in. (76 x 123.5cm.)
