CIRCA LATE 2ND-EARLY 3RD CENTURY A.D.
In the form of a bust of a youthful Mars, the god wearing a cuirass fronted by a gorgoneion and ornamented with an incised scale-pattern, his head turned to his right, with short wavy hair and articulated eyes perhaps once inlaid in silver, the helmet with a high crest surmounted by a suspension loop
