UNDERGLAZE-BLUE QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-95)
With deep rounded sides rising from a tapered foot to a flaring rim, incised on the exterior with two striding five-clawed dragons chasing flaming pears amidst flames and cloud scrolls above breaking waves and rocks around the base, covered in a dark brownish-purple glaze stopping neatly above the foot, the interior and base glazed white
5 15/16 in. (15.1 cm.) diam.
