A pair of Derby biscuit figures of a boy and companion
CIRCA 1835, INCISED No. 123
The boy modelled wearing a wide brimmed hat, frilled shirt and waistcoat, breeches and laced boats, holding a posy, before a tree-stump, the rocky circular base applied with flowers; his companion similar, wearing a frilled dress and head-dress, holding a basket full of fruit, before a tree-stump applied with grapes, on a similar base (his hands re-stuck minor chipping to flowers and extremities)
He stands 7 in. (17.7 cm.) high (2)
