An early 19th-Century brass swinging arm protractor,
signed Berge London Late of Ramsden, with central glass cross-hair, circumference scale graduated 0-360° with ½° subdivisions, twin verniers and swinging arms and micrometer screw fine adjustment -- 16cm. (6¼in.) diameter; the remains of a late 18th-Century cross-frame brass sextant signed Ramsden London with mirror and three shades, scale and alidade arm with vernier (no telescope) -- 14.7cm. (5¾in.) radius; and the remains of a brass drawing instrument (much oxidised) comprising a graduated but unnumbered arm with a T-shaped section mounted on sleeves with screw clamps beneath, with slotted arms for further adjustment -- 31.1cm.
