A Meissen Kakiemon shaped plate
CIRCA 1740, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, PRESSNUMMER 22
Painted and gilded with the gelber Löwe pattern, the centre with a tiger wrapped about a stem of blue bamboo among flowering shrubs surrounded by scattered flower-sprays and flowerheads, within a shaped gilt line at the edge of the well, the Alt brandenstein ozier-moulded border with four vignettes of birds perched on branches, the four large basketweave panels with butterflies, within a gilt band rim (gilding refreshed, centre with minute minor scratches)
