CIRCA 1740, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK AND PRESSNUMMER 24
With an angular ear-shaped handle and tapering octagonal-section spout, one side of the body painted with flowering shrubs issuing from blue and turquoise rockwork, the other with a bird in flight above a small flower and two leaves, the domed cover with a puce bud finial flanked by two flower-sprays, the cover and spout with brown line rims (chipping to footrim, cover restored, tip of spout with minute chip and minute wear to brown line, minute wear to finial)
