A Victorian walnut five-glass library timepiece, circa 1880
The case with glazed viewing panel to the stepped top, on bowed moulded base with block feet, the silvered dial engraved with foliate scroll spandrels to the Roman chapter ring, signed Chas. Frodsham Clockmaker to the Queen/84 Strand/and 115 New Bond St./No.1999, the eight day single chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, pendulum holdfast to back plate with repeat signature -- 9¾in. (25cm.) high
