The case elaborately cast with birds, flowers and rocaille, with conforming solid rear door, the white enamel Roman dial with subsidiary dials for day of week/alarm/date, with three-position sonnerie adjustment hand above, blued steel moon hands and sweep centre seconds, the eight day twin barrel movement with silvered platform to chronometer escapement with plain bimetallic balance and blued steel helical spring, strike/repeat/alarm on two nested bells to back plate stamped BOLVILLER/à Paris and numbered 139 -- 7in. (18cm.) high to fold of handle
