The corniche case engraved with leafy scrolls against a matted ground, with Sèvres style porcelain side panels depicting cherubs within gilt and jewelled borders, the conforming Roman dial with tear-drop jewel half hour markers and blued steel moon hands, alarm dial below, the eight day twin barrel movement with silvered platform to bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on gong to back plate numbered 5813 -- 4 5/8in. (11.5cm.) high to fold of handle
