A Charles X large bronze and ormolu striking figural table clock, circa 1825
The milestone case applied with a mount depicting pomegranates, torches and an oil lamp, flanked by scantily clad figures of Cupid and Psyche, above stepped rectangular plinth with stylised leaf mouldings, applied with a butterfly mount and raised on winged paw feet, the ormolu dial with berried laurel bezel to Roman chapter ring and foliate cast centre, the eight day twin barrel movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on bell -- 36in. (92cm.) high
