Modelled as a striding figure of Chronos on marble base with mount to the front depicting Charon taking Chronos across the River Styx, the bronze base below inscribed PROETEREUNT ET IMPUTANTUR, on lion's paw feet, with entwined serpent bezel to dial with Roman chapter ring, engine-turned centre with indistinct signature reserve, steel moon hands, the eight day twin barrel movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on bell -- 17in. (43cm.) high
