A pair of French Neoclassic style giltmetal-mounted polychrome-decorated white opaline glass vases
Second half 19th Century
Of campana form, each with beaded and engine-turned rim, above a tapering neck decorated with a pair of mythological scenes between gilt bands of Vitruvian scroll, lozenge and anthemion, the ogive lower section centred to each side with a Bacchic mask and applied with a pair of scrolled handles terminating in satyr masks, on circular spreading anthemion-cast foot and square white marble plinth, the interior of each with a later lamp fitting
