The painted dial with automaton rocking ships, small boats, sealions and whales, signed on the silvered and arcaded dial DIRK THUYSEN OOS ZAANDAM, matted centre with moonphase, month indication with zodiacal sign and representation, date within subsidiary seconds ring, day of week with zodiacal representation, with alarm-setting disc to the blued steel hands, the eight day four pillar movement with inverted anchor escapement and Dutch strike on two bells, lacking alarm train; cheekboards built up, possibly associated
