The case later painted with flowers against a pale blue-grey ground, with glazed side panels within ormolu frames and brass borders, conforming painted decoration to the inside rear door and base, the section enamel dial with inner concentric calendar ring and signed VALLETTE/A PARIS, the eight day movement with rectangular plates joined by four back-pinned pillars, with verge escapement and silk suspension and countwheel strike on bell above; and the wall bracket en suite
