A VERY RARE COLT .450 (ELEY) SINGLE-ACTION 'FLAT TOP TARGET' ARMY REVOLVER, NO. 152119
Flat top frame fitted with back-sight (adjustable for windage only), hinged loading port, the barrel with interchangeable foresight and Metford rifling, chequered trigger, hard rubber chequered grips with original Colt logo 'Circled Colt Rampant',

Lot Essay

The serial number of this revolver indicates 1893 as a year of manufacture. The Flat Top Target revolver was only produced between 1888 and 1894. 914 were manufactured and of these only 84 were chambered for the .450 Eley cartridge. This model pre-dates the the Colt 'Bisley' model.
