The serial number of this revolver indicates 1893 as a year of manufacture. The Flat Top Target revolver was only produced between 1888 and 1894. 914 were manufactured and of these only 84 were chambered for the .450 Eley cartridge. This model pre-dates the the Colt 'Bisley' model.
