CIRCA 1790, ATTRIBUTED TO MAYHEW AND INCE
Each with pierced waved ladder back, one seat upholstered in floral material;
together with a pair of late George III white-painted and rush-seated side chairs, early 19th Century, each with bobbin-turned top-rail and solid ladder back, seats distressed, with traces of earlier paint (4)

These are probably among the 'Thirty Cottage Chairs with matted Seats, the whole Japan'd white & Varnishd- at 8/. Each 12.' supplied by Mayhew and Ince in December 1789.
